Rose’s career as a registered nurse, midwife and educator has spanned across continents. She has practiced in Kenya, England, Switzerland and Italy. She grew up and trained in Kenya where she also counseled rural women on reproductive and neonatal health in hard to reach areas. She moved to Italy in 1995 with her Italian husband and is the mother of two girls. She has long experience as a registered nurse in various hospitals, as an ambulance nurse, as well as a home care nurse. She does home visits offering her nursing professional skills such as injections, infusions, medications, newborn care and nursing bedridden patients. She has been a great advocate for many people, especially foreigners, by accompanying them through the labyrinth of the Italian public hospital system as a linguistic and cultural translator with medical knowledge.
