Jocelyn S. Welch, LICSW, is a an American clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience. Currently she has a private practice in Rome, Italy and Rhode Island, U.S.A. Jocelyn treats adults from a strengths-based, relational perspective to help individuals adjust to life transitions such as pregnancy, parenting, marriage, divorce, international relocation, and retirement. She assists individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and family-of-origin issues, using the evidence-based psychotherapy treatments of CBT, DBT, IPT and Mindfulness. Jocelyn is skilled in working with people experiencing infertility challenges, as well as perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. One of her areas of expertise is grief treatment for perinatal loss (miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss). Formerly she worked in Boston at HRI Hospital on the Postpartum Unit and Trauma Unit and at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre as a psychodynamic therapist in a Primary Care setting working closely with Primary Care Physicians. Jocelyn returns to southern RI after living abroad with her husband of 20 years, their teenage son and daughter and 8 year old Golden Retriever.
