Paul brings 15 years of senior HR executive experience at blue chip multinational companies like General Motors, Royal/Dutch Shell, Georg Fisher and UBS to his coaching. He understands the issues junior and senior leaders face as he has himself led in international management and was able to navigate strategic change projects while achieving desired results. Paul has studied the history and theories of effective governance and has seen what really works and what doesn’t to produce quality leaders in complex organizations.
An international executive coach and leadership expert since 2002, Paul has particular interest in how leaders and organizations interact most effectively. He has special affinity for Women Leaders, Career Transition, Performance, and Change Management. Paul coaches high potential and senior leaders in multinational organizations across a variety of industries across the globe, notably International Organizations and NGO’s, Banking, Pharmaceuticals, Professional Services and FMCG. He is also noted as a dynamic leadership coach to Female Leaders.
An award-winning author, Paul writes extensively on leadership theory and practice. His articles appear in such noted publications as: Sloan Management Review, Journal of Management Development, Leadership in Health Sciences, and International Journal of Mentoring and Coaching. He is a contributing author to Leading in the Top Team (Cambridge 2008). Crowning his many articles and contributions on the subject of successful women in business, Paul’s most recent book is Leadership Strategies for Women (Springer 2014). He is regularly invited as a conference speaker and blog author.
Born in the Netherlands, Paul has worked and lived in six different countries and on two continents. He is married and a father of two. His wife has her own international leadership career in the public sector.
