I was born and raised in the US but have lived in Italy since 2005. My Roman husband and I now have three little boys who are the reason for my passion for sleep. They taught me just how important sleep is in our lives and how it is possible to create a healthy relationship with sleep from the start. I lived three different realities with my little ones: complete lack of sleep for 2.5 years with my first child to a bumpy road with my second and finally, smoothly guiding my youngest son towards nights filled with sleep.
I had been guiding friends for several years when I began my studies with the Pediatric Institute of Sleep and Parenting to become certified as a sleep consultant. For me, this wasn’t enough and immediately began studying to become a Gentle Infant Sleep Educator. This is a holistic approach through London’s Open College Network and BabyEm. In order to continue to better serve my families, I participate in sleep associations and yearly sleep conferences to keep up to date on new research.
Sleep is more than just what we do at night. I also take into consideration what happens during the day: what the little one is eating, connection, attachment, exercise and development. All are important when guiding families towards sleep filled nights while respecting their parenting choices, beliefs and goals.
I love working with families to help them avoid months or years without sleep. More importantly, we work together to teach little ones the ability to get the sleep they need to support those curious minds.
